Community Guidelines

Welcome to Maid In America! My blog is an outgrowth of my cleaning business as well as some of my other interests, and I hope you find it interesting and informative. My guidelines here apply to not only my blog, but also all of my social media platforms, in an effort to promote open and honest communication without any drama or problems. Anyone who can't follow these simple guidelines will be removed and blocked.

1. First and foremost, this is my space. The content is mine. The opinions are mine. Just by the fact that I've published all of this, it is inherently copyrighted. Publishing anything I've written without giving me the credit for being the author is copyright infringement, and I WILL pursue charges if the situation warrants such a drastic measure. Feel free to share my content on social media, just don't steal it and call it yours.

2. Yes, there will probably be times where I express a political viewpoint or opinion. You free to agree or disagree in the comments. Differences of opinion make us who we are and can lead to the exchange of new ideas and community building. I WILL NOT tolerate anyone bullying, name calling, threatening, or treating anyone who comments as "less than" just because they disagree. People have their beliefs and opinions for a reason, and I encourage you to discuss those reasons and learn from each other rather than attacking them for feeling differently than you.

3. Try to stay on topic in discussions. If a post is about homemade floor cleaners, don't change the subject to something else. And always feel free to share your own ideas that are different from what I've included. If I try out your suggestion and I like it, I might include it in a future post and give you the credit. If you start listing stain removers for laundry under a post about organic air fresheners, however, it's likely I'll ignore it because it's off topic and not what I'm looking for.

4. If you have a topic you'd like me to address, don't leave it in the comments, send me a DM on Facebook or Instagram. That way I can make sure I send you a response.

5. If you find a spam account that I've missed, take a screenshot and send me a message to bring it to my attention. My goal is to keep this community spam and troll free so we can just share ideas and enjoy our conversations.

6. There will be swearing. There will be adult conversations. If you aren't okay with that, this isn't the group for you.

Please be sure to check back here if you have any questions as to what the guidelines are for this community, especially if I've posted on social media that the guidelines have been updated or changed.
